Traditional Healer Support
At Moorlanga Healing, we honour and respect the sacred knowledge and practices of our Traditional Healers. We recognise that healing for our people cannot always come from Western models alone it must include our spiritual, cultural and ancestral ways of knowing and doing. Our Traditional Healer Support is offered on request with deep respect for the cultural protocols and privacy required when working with Elders and spiritual leaders.
What Is Traditional Healing?
Traditional healing is aspirit-led and culturally governed process that may involve:
- Spiritual cleansing and realignment
- Cultural medicine and bush practices
- Dreaming interpretation and soul healing
- Guidance from elders and cultural mentors
It is not counselling and it is not structured by Western frameworks. It is ancient, sacred and held by those recognised in community with the spiritual and cultural authority to guide others.
-
Our Approach
- We facilitate access to trusted Traditional Healers where appropriate and with informed consent.
- We support preparation and follow-up for individuals engaging with a Healer to ensure emotional and spiritual safety.
- We do not name or publish details of Traditional Healers online. All connections are made through respectful and private processes, unless a healer has provided informed consent for their details to be shared publicly
-
When is it offered to the community?
- When community members express a desire for cultural or spiritual healing
- As part of a broader therapeutic journey
- In collaboration with Elders and community leaders.
